Eight years ago , I walked in the kitchen to find my 14 year old daughter holding a butcher knife to her stomach trying to end it all. In family counseling, finding out that she’d been cutting herself for over a year ,which made me feel like a failure as a parent and a wife. God has been so faithful, He spoke to me and gave me scripture to cling to. Our church loved and prayed us through this ,even though it took years. She is now in college and married and our marriage is great. God has given us beauty for ashes and taught me that He is always with us and will never forsake us. My relationship with Him is closer than it’s ever been.

If you can manage to concentrate enough on hacking to be good at itand still have a life, that's fine. This is a lot easier today thanit was when I was a newbie in the 1970s; mainstream culture is muchfriendlier to techno-nerds now. There are even growing numbers ofpeople who realize that hackers are often high-quality lover andspouse material.

Specifically, hackerdom is what anthropologists call a . You gain status and reputation in it not by dominatingother people, nor by being beautiful, nor by having things otherpeople want, but rather by giving things away. What did it make you think: What is the most interesting thing you have ever seen in the sky?

I lost my Dad last month to liver cancer. He was my best friend. I go to sleep every night thinking about him, and trying my hardest to dream about him. It seems like every morning I wake up, there is a nano-second where I feel this has all been a bad dream. Like everything is ok. Then it hits me. Sometimes it’s like a being punched in the gut. More often, its like slamming my fingers in a car door and then realizing the door is locked, and the keys are still in the ignition. I would know that pain too, as it actually happened to me as a child. But my Dad was there to break the glass and rescue me. Its that instant panic that only lasts long enough to take your breath away. But the pain persists. I picked up the phone 3 times today to call him. Brutal.

MY son right now is diagnosed with a language disorder. He also has tendancies of Autism. He is struggling in school. For him to get through one day of school without a meltdown is a blessing. He is 5. I hav to struggle everyday with thinking how is my son going to get through life. How will he be able to learn in school if he cannot remember things. Carlos i heard about your dads stuttering problem and it gave me hope. Please pray for me and my hubby that we continue to have patience with TIMOTHY (my son). I know that God will one day use him as a testimony to lead people to Christ. Its just hard to see that right now when we’re going through it at the moment.

Essay: The most challenging thing I’ve ever done

I pray that God would bring you someone who can counsel and comfort you during this time. I pray for your son, that he would be surrounded by godly Christian Men who lavish God’s love to him, unashamed of what others may think. I pray protection, that in moments of weakness he would flee temptation. I pray that he will not give in to a false gospel, and that if he doesn’t know Christ, Christ will make himself known in such a way that your son cannot deny him, and fall deeply in love with Him.

The most challenging thing I’ve ever done

the hardest thing is I am going through is knowing your family is there yet appearance show they r not, acceptance that I am okay even with my diagnosis I am okay. Facing your own truth—–As one writer wrote she never prayed so much. I am praying so much until I feel God said enough now child be quiet. I am working on that. The emotion keeps me feeling all bottle up– I will let go, let God, in God’s own timing—which I would love to let go now, feeling of joy one moment and the next feeling upset that you knowing healing will come yet it feels so far fetched–this is the hardest thing.

I OWN IT! major revelation.

'What's the hardest thing you've ever done?' I ..

Preachers kid: Grew up in the minsitry….loved it. Age 23, I came to learn that the chairman of the deacons at my dads church tricked my mother into coming to the house for a Sunday school get together…knowing my dad had a funeral. When she got there, there was no one else there. She asked where his wife was, he said she had to run to the store to grab some things. I’ll wait in the car till some other people get here is what she said. He then proceeded to force himself on her. When she screamed and resisted he knocked her unconscious and proceeded to rape her. She woke up in her car in our driveway with her arms draped over the steering wheel. My little sister found her. For the first time ever, I had murder in my heart. Had to learn years and years of forgiveness. Still learning. I have every reason in the world to be mad at the church. But I love Jesus, I prioritize my life around his teachings. God is good despite that.
